While reading a magazine article on holiday back in 2005, Groom Professionals’ top dog, Colin, had that ‘lightbulb’ moment. Having years of valuable experience in the animal grooming industry, Colin identified a gap in the market for an affordable, yet quality grooming range that ‘had it all’, a one-stop shop for a pet groomers every need, and he was going to create just that.
Pet shampoo wasn’t a new idea, but he could improve it, and at an affordable cost to the groomer. Having had many years of experience sourcing top quality products, listening to pet groomers, testing, developing and creating, ‘Groom Professional’ was born and it does exactly what it says on the tin. It started with shampoo and over time developed into a full grooming product range, with specialist equipment, clothing and accessories.
Coming from a farming background coupled with a genuine love for animals, Colins passion for really good quality, sustainable animal products shone through, having seen the benefits of using these products on animals over the years for local agricultural shows.
The concept was there, an affordable, luxury, one-stop shop for all grooming needs, now he needed a brand. Paw prints and dog bones had been over done, so what could he do to stand out. Colin sought inspiration in human salon brands and took a leap of faith in developing something akin, but for pets! And it worked. An innovative and cutting-edge design, with a striking black bottle and bold colour sent Groom Professional to the front of the pack.
The brand logo had to be clean, sharp and on point, just like the product. Water droplets…simple yet highly effective. Could it be a dog having a good shake after a lovely groom or maybe water splashing from a bath? It reflects the sleek simplicity of the brand itself.
Groom Professional could be mistaken for a high-end human hair care range, and that’s ok! It’s designed to catch your eye.
